XVII South Zone Shooting Championship 2026 in Rifle/Pistol (NR) events
The XVII South Zone Shooting Championship 2026 in Rifle/Pistol events will be held at Vattiyoorkavu Shooting Range, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala from 31st August to 8th September, 2026, as per rules and regulations under NRAI Match Book (amended). This Championship will be conducted by Kerala State Rifle Association under the aegis of the National Rifle Association of India.
Rules & Regulations
As per rules and regulations under NRAI Match Book (amended). Shooting kit (clothing & Equipment) according to ISSF Rules. Discipline on and off field is essential. Shooting practice in hotels is strictly prohibited. Half pants/Jeans and chapels are not permitted on the range. Code of Conduct and WADA/NADA rules apply.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to athletes belonging to the South Zone (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Telangana, Tamil Nadu). Paramilitary/AI/ONGC/affiliated unit athletes posted/domiciled in southern states require prior written permission from NRAI. Athletes below 12 years are not allowed in firearm matches; below 10 years not allowed in air weapon events. Athletes must have achieved MQS as per NRAI Match Book rule 1.4.
Awards & Prizes
Medals awarded in individual category: 4 Athletes = 3 Medals, 3 Athletes = 2 Medals, 2 Athletes = 1 Medal, 1 Athlete = no Medal. Medals/Badges will not be awarded to those scoring less than prescribed qualifying marks (exemptions apply for Deaf, Para, Senior Masters, and Super Masters).

31 Aug: Training; 01-03 Sep: 10M AR, 25M Sports Pistol, 50M Rifle Prone & .22 OS Rifle Prone; 04 Sep: Training, 25M Std Pistol Training, 50M Rifle Prone/3P & .22 OS Rifle 3P; 05 Sep: 10M AP, 25M Standard Pistol, 50M Rifle 3P & .22 OS Rifle 3P; 06 Sep: 10M AP, Training FP, 50M Rifle 3P Training FP; 07-08 Sep: 10M AP, 25M Centre Fire Pistol, Free Pistol.

10M Rifle/Pistol & Para events: Rs. 950/- per match plus 18% GST (Rs. 1121/-); 25M/50M Rifle/Pistol & .22 OS events: Rs. 675/- per match plus 18% GST (Rs. 797/-). Triple fee deadline is 12th August, 2026 till 7:30 PM.
