XVI South Zone Shooting Championship in Pistol (NR) events
The XVI South Zone Shooting Championship 2025 in Pistol events will be held at Vattiyoorkavu Shooting Range, Thiruvanthapuram, Kerala from 11th to 14th October, 2025. This Championship is open to athletes belonging to the South Zone only. Athletes below the age of 12 years are not allowed to participate in firearm matches, and those below 10 years cannot participate in air weapon events. Various age categories are defined for participation, including Seniors, Juniors, Youth, Sub Youth, Masters, Senior Masters, and Super Masters. The event will feature multiple pistol disciplines, and athletes must register through the NRAI's online system. Entry fees apply, and there are specific eligibility criteria and rules for participation.
Rules & Regulations
Athletes must comply with NRAI Match Book rules. Athletes below the age of 12 years are not allowed to participate in firearm matches, and those below 10 years cannot participate in air weapon events. Entry fees are non-refundable except in case of match cancellation.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to athletes belonging to the South Zone only. Athletes from paramilitary forces and other affiliated units must have prior written permission from NRAI.
Awards & Prizes
Medals will be awarded based on individual performance. Athletes scoring below qualifying marks will not receive medals.
Event Schedule
The tentative program includes events for 10M Pistol, 25M Centre Fire Pistol, 25M Standard Pistol, and 25M Pistol across the competition dates.
