52nd Tamilnadu State Shooting Championship Competitions 2026 – SHOTGUN (NR) events
The 52nd Tamilnadu State Shooting Championship Competitions in SHOTGUN events will be held at the CHENNAI RIFLE CLUB, Dr.B.Sivanthi Adityan TRAP & SKEET Shooting Range, Alamathi, Red Hills, Chennai; from 17th to 26th July, 2026 by Chennai Rifle Club under the auspices of the Tamilnadu Shooting Association. Athletes from all the affiliated units of Tamilnadu Shooting Association are invited to participate in this championship.
Rules & Regulations
1. Competition will be conducted in Individual and Team Events. Team entry must be submitted by 17:00 Hrs on the day prior to the start of the match. 2. Shooters qualified in ISSF category matches cannot take part in NR category matches for that event. 3. Master category shooters can take part in their category and Senior Men/Women category but not in Senior Master Category. Senior Masters can take part in their category, Master category and senior category. 4. Original proof of age certificate or NRAI ID card must be available for junior category shooters. 5. Athletes below 12 years of age are not allowed to participate. 6. Entries accepted only via NRAI's ONLINE SYSTEM. 7. Competitor cards available online after verification. 8. Mandatory to produce Photo ID Card on demand. 9. Organizers will not supply arms or ammunition. 10. Weapon sharing limited to the number of details allotted. 11. Weapons must be as per NRAI Specification. 12. Female athletes under 18 must submit parental consent form. 13. Rules 10.3 to 10.5 of NRAI Match Book of award of medals are amended. 15. Appropriate dress code enforced (no flip-flops/slippers, jeans, sleeveless tops, miniskirts, cargo style trousers/shorts). 16. Photography and cell phones strictly prohibited inside the range. 17. Protest fee is Rs.200/- (+18% GST = Rs.236/-); Appeal fee is Rs.500/- (+18% GST = Rs.590/-). 18. Shooting practice in hotels is strictly prohibited. 19. Clay targets available at Rs.500 per round of Trap/Skeet and Rs.550 per round of Double-Trap. 21. Elimination after the first round if participants fail to score the minimum qualifying score (Trap: 12, Double Trap: 12, Skeet: 12). Youth, Junior, Senior Masters and Masters are exempted. 23. All matches conducted as per NRAI match book.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to participants from affiliated units in Tamilnadu only. Age criteria for 2026: Youth (Born in 2008 or above), Junior (Born in 2005 or above), Senior (Above 21 Years), Master (45-60 years), Senior Masters (60-70 years), Super Masters (70 years). Athletes below 12 years of age are not allowed to participate. Shooters who have already been qualified in ISSF category matches cannot take part in NR category matches for the event they are qualified in.
Awards & Prizes
Medals/Badges will not be awarded to those whose score is less than the qualifying marks (does not apply to Deaf, Para, Senior Masters, and Super Masters). No prize awarded in case of a single entry, but organizers may award a memento. Four Rolling Trophies will be distributed based on a points system (Gold: 15 pts, Silver: 10 pts, Bronze: 5 pts): H. H. THE MAHARAJA OF PUDUKKOTTAI TROPHY (Over-all), DR. B. SIVANTHI ADITHYAN ROLLING TROPHY (Trap), NAMASI AND KANNAN TROPHY (Double Trap), RAJAH. D.V. APPARAO BAHADUR TROPHY (Skeet), SHRI. D. RAJENDRAN IAS TROPHY (Mixed Trap).

Individual Entry Fee will be Rs.3500/- (plus 18% GST = Rs.4130/-) and Team Entry Fee will be Rs.4500/- (plus 18% GST = Rs.5310/-) per event. Late entries with triple entry fee will be accepted till 9:30PM on 14th July, 2026.
