51st Tamilnadu State Shooting Championship Competition-2026 (Rifle & Pistol)
The 51st Tamil Nadu State Shooting Championship Competition – 2026 in Rifle & Pistol (NR) events will be conducted by Saragarhi Shooting Academy under the auspices of Tamilnadu Shooting Association. Athletes from the affiliated units of Tamil Nadu Shooting Association & Pondicherry Shooting Association are invited to participate in this championship.
Rules & Regulations
Competition will be conducted in individual and team events as per the NRAI Match Book and ISSF Specifications. Team entry must be submitted by 17:00 Hrs on the previous day of the start of the match. Athletes entering in Peep Sight Rifle matches cannot enter in Open Sight Rifle matches and vice versa. Athletes taking part in ISSF category matches cannot take part in NR category matches in that event and vice versa. Weapon sharing is limited to the number of details allotted. Participants who do not secure the Minimum Qualifying Score of 40% in Open Sight Air Rifle/Open Sight Rifle Events and 50% in Pistol and Peep Sight Rifle Events will have to pay a penalty fee of Rs. 2,000/- per event. Unsporting clothing like chappals, sandals, jeans, sleeveless tops, miniskirts, and pants/shorts with external pockets are prohibited. Cell phones and photography are strictly prohibited inside the range. Protest fee is Rs. 200/-, and appeal fee is Rs. 500/-.
Eligibility Criteria
Open for participants from affiliated units in Tamilnadu and Pondicherry only. The entries will be accepted through respective NRAI's affiliated State Rifle Associations / Units only on the NRAI's online system. Athletes below the age of 12 years are not allowed to participate in the firearm matches during the championship. Athletes who have attended the Nationals can only take part in the ISSF category of that event. It is mandatory to produce a valid Photo ID Card.
Awards & Prizes
Prize distribution for Rifle events on 02nd August 2026 at 4:00 PM and for Pistol events on 07th August 2026 at 4:00 PM.

27-Jul-26: Air Rifle Training, Prone & 3P Rifle Training (8AM to 2PM). 28-Jul-26 to 30-Jul-26: Air Rifle / NR Championship, Rifle Prone / NR Championship. 31-Jul-26: Air Rifle / NR Championship. 01-Aug-26: Air Rifle / NR Championship, Rifle 3P / NR Championship. 02-Aug-26: Rifle Prize Distribution (4:00 PM), Air Pistol Training (11AM to 5PM), Training for NR Shooters. 03-Aug-26: Air Pistol / NR Championship, SP / CFP & STD P Championship, Free Pistol Training. 04-Aug-26 to 06-Aug-26: Air Pistol / NR Championship, SP / CFP & STD P Championship, Free Pistol / NR Championship. 07-Aug-26: Air Pistol / NR Championship, SP / CFP & STD P Championship, Free Pistol / NR Championship, Prize Distribution for all Pistol Events (4:00 PM).

50M Rifle, 50M Pistol & 25M Pistol Events: Rs. 1500/- plus 18% GST = Rs. 1770/-. 10M Rifle & 10M Pistol Events: Rs. 1000/- plus 18% GST = Rs. 1180/-. Team entry fee: Rs. 3000/- plus 18% GST = Rs. 3540/- per event.
