Border Security Force Recruitment 2025
The Border Security Force (BSF), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens (both male and female) for the recruitment of 391 vacancies for the Non-Gazetted and Non-Ministerial post of Constable (General Duty) under the Sports Quota.
Application Details
Applications will be accepted only in online mode. The online application portal will be active from October 16, 2025, at 00:01 AM and will close on November 4, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad and will be governed by the BSF Act of 1968 and the BSF Rules of 1969.

Pay Scale and Allowances
The revised pay scale for the position of Constable (General Duty) under the Sports Quota is as follows:
- Basic Pay: Level 3, ₹21,700 - ₹69,100
- Other allowances as applicable to Central Government employees
The recruited candidates will be covered by the New Pension Scheme effective from January 1, 2004, along with other government schemes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 23 years as of August 1, 2025. Age relaxation applies to SC/ST and OBC candidates.
- Education: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Sports Qualification: Candidates must have participated or won medals in specified competitions within the last two years.
Sports Qualifications Details
Eligibility is based on participation or medal achievements in recognized events as specified in the recruitment announcement:
- International events sanctioned by the International Olympic Association.
- National Championships recognized by the Indian Olympic Association.
- Junior National Championships within the stipulated dates.
Physical Standards
