Participation in the Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship

The Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship is set to take place in New Delhi in February 2026, presenting a significant opportunity for shooters across various categories. This prestigious event invites participation from talented athletes eager to showcase their skills in both rifle and pistol disciplines.

Eligibility and Categories

Participation is open to a limited number of shooters in the following categories:

  • Senior Events: Five (5) shooters
  • Junior Events: Six (6) shooters
  • Air Rifle/Air Pistol Youth Event: Six (6) shooters

Sponsorship and Costs

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) will sponsor three (3) shooters in each of the Olympic events for both the Senior and Junior categories. However, athletes interested in participating in both Olympic and Non-Olympic events will have the opportunity to join at their own expense. The top 10 shooters in each event, based on ranking, will be considered for any remaining slots.

Application Process

All shooters planning to participate at their own cost must submit their applications via the provided Google Form link: Application Form. The deadline for applications is 1 P.M. on 10th December 2025.

Estimated Participation Costs

The estimated cost for participation is Rs. 1,00,000/- per person. This fee covers:

  • Entry fees
  • Boarding and lodging
  • Transportation

Please note that any requests submitted via email will not be considered; only those received through the Google Form will be accepted.

Additional Requirements

No assistance will be provided to parents or personal coaches during the event. Additionally, athletes must submit a newly signed Athlete Declaration Form along with a colored copy of their passport to reactivate their International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) ID. This step is crucial, as failure to submit these documents will result in ineligibility to participate in any ISSF competitions.
