Event Overview

The 0175 India Open Competition (Shotgun) 2025 is set to take place from 29th October to 5th November, 2025, at the New Moti Bagh Gun Club in Patiala, Punjab. This prestigious event is organized by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI).

General Regulations

  1. Organizers: Conducted by NRAI.
  2. Name of the Competition: 0175 India Open Competition (Shotgun) Events 2025.
  3. Venue: New Moti Bagh Gun Club, Patiala, Punjab.
  4. Competition Dates: From 29th October to 5th November, 2025.
  5. Level of Competition: Pre-National Level Competition as defined under Rule 1.1.2.1 of the NRAI Match Book.
  6. Conduct of Competition: Matches will adhere to NRAI Match Book and ISSF Rules.

Eligibility Criteria

Participation in the India Open Competition is open to:

  • Athletes who have competed in Pre-State Championships, State Championships, AIGVMSC, Zonal Championships, or previous India Open Competitions.
  • Athletes designated as “Renowned Shot” during the 66th/67th NSCC.
  • Those achieving the Minimum Qualifying Score (MQS) as per NRAI rules.

Note: A penalty of ₹3000 (plus 18% GST) will be applied to athletes whose scores fall below 15% of the qualifying score.

Representation and Entry

Entries for the 0175 India Open Competition must be submitted via the NRAI online portal:

The deadlines for entries are as follows:

  • With normal fee: 25th October, until 7:30 PM
  • With triple fee: 26th October, until 7:30 PM

Age Criteria & Categories

Athletes must meet the following age requirements in 2025:

  • Seniors: Above 21 years
  • Juniors: Born in 2004 or after
  • Youth: Born in 2006 or after
  • Masters: 45 - 60 years
  • Senior Masters: 60 - 70 years
  • Super Masters: Above 70 years

Athletes below the age of 12 years are not permitted to participate in this championship.

List of Events

The competition will feature various categories for both men and women, as detailed in Annexure A.

Award of Medals

Medals will be awarded as follows:

  • Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in each category for individual events.
  • Awarding will be based on qualification scores in all categories.
  • Refer to Rule 10 of the NRAI Match Book for further details.

Entry Fees

The entry fees are structured as follows:

  • Single Entry Fee: ₹2000 per match + 18% GST = ₹2360
  • Triple Entry Fee: ₹6000 + 18% GST = ₹7080

Fees from earlier entries for the competition in May 2025 will be adjusted for those participating in October/November 2025.

Ammunition and Schedule

Ammunition will be available at the venue in Patiala, subject to availability.

Protests and Appeals

Protests will be addressed in accordance with ISSF & NRAI Match Book regulations. The protest fee is ₹200 (plus 18% GST), while appeals to the Jury of Appeal require a fee of ₹500 (plus 18% GST).

Accommodation

Participants are advised to arrange their own accommodation. Patiala offers a wide range of hotels catering to various budgets.

General Instructions

All participants must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Comply with all rules and regulations.
  • Discipline is essential on and off the field.
  • A fee of ₹236 (₹200 + 18% GST) will be charged for lost competitor cards.
  • No refunds for entry fees upon non-participation after entry submission.
  • All shooting gear must comply with ISSF rules.
  • Practice in hotels is strictly prohibited.
  • The organizers reserve the right to amend rules as necessary.

Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to adhere to the following conduct:

  1. Display responsibility and commitment as an athlete.
  2. Show respect towards fellow competitors and officials.
  3. Be punctual and follow the schedule.
  4. Dress appropriately as per ISSF guidelines.
  5. Avoid any form of verbal abuse or intimidation.
  6. Refrain from political or religious discussions.
  7. Follow all guidelines set by relevant authorities.
  8. Do not consume alcohol or tobacco at the range.
